Serving French cuisine, Fraîche was founded by Chef Jason Travi and is now run by Ben Bailly, formerly of Petrossian, so while the focus is on an straightforward approach to cooking, there's a fine dining sensibility to it as well. Specialties range from smoked trout rillettes to house-made agnolotti. The decor consists of dark wood tables balanced by white linens and exposed brick walls, many of which are adorned with chalk boards that sport food-related quotes and staff drawings. In addition to the main dining room, Fraîche also offers an outdoor patio seating, which is available during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Insider Tip:

Weekly cooking classes are led by executive chef Ben Bailly, and teach various methods for preparing dishes straight from the restaurant’s menu. Classes are limited to four students and take a hands-on approach.
