Historic, Popular with locals

First built in 1837, it wasn't established as the Almeida until the 1980s. A 325-person theater spread out over two floors, it offers some of the most inventive and well-produced productions in the city. Past shows include the runaway hit musical version of American Psycho as well as the play about the British Royal family Charles III, which later transferred to Broadway. The lobby's small and elegant bar serves wine, coffee, and snacks.
