Royal Opera House
A stunning Covent Garden landmark, the Royal Opera House is home to the Royal Opera Company and the Royal ballet, this venue's best-known patron is HRH The Prince of Wales. The theater was built in 1858 and is one of the most elegant buildings in London. The diverse programming runs the gamut, from the Anna Nicole Opera to Don Giovanni, Le Nozze di Figaro to Tristan and Isolde. In addition to world-class opera and dancing, they also stage inventive evenings such as screenings of classic films with a live orchestra playing the sound track. Inside is also one of the most beautiful brasseries in London, with high, arched, paneled windows.
