The Flask Tavern
One of London’s most historic pubs, the Flask Tavern dates back to the 18th century and counts artist William Hogarth among its former patrons. This Highgate pub is composed of several rooms and two bars, as well as an outdoor heated beer garden strewn with twinkling lights. The Flask features a classic pub menu of traditional British fare in addition to a selection of beers and wines from around the globe. The relaxed, neighborhood atmosphere and historic vibe have made the Flask an ever-popular destination among Londoners, and travelers quickly fall in love with the Flask's charms as well.
The pub is rumored to be haunted by a barmaid who committed suicide after a love affair ended. Over the years, patrons and staff have experienced sudden temperature changes and swinging lights attributed to visits by the barmaid.
