Little Havana

3555 S.W. 8th St.
Miami, FL, 33135, United States
TEL: (305) 444-0240

Established in 1971, this casual café began as a gathering place for Cuban exiles living in Little Havana. Over the decades, it has continued to serve as a social and political center for the community while also offering some of the most authentic Cuban cuisine in Miami. The spacious, 370-seat dining room has remained largely unchanged since the 1970's and is adorned with simple white tables, crystal chandeliers, and etched glass windows. Here, patrons savor traditional dishes like ropa vieja, or “old clothes”—shredded beef cooked in wine-infused tomato sauce and served with rice and plantains.

Insider Tip:

Coffee drinkers should try the cortadito, a Cuban espresso drink mixed with leche evaporada (evaporated milk).
