Time Out Mercado da Ribeira
Time Out magazine turned Lisbon's standard 122-year-old urban market into a gourmet food court in 2014. Today, it's an overwhelming foodie free-for-all of 40 food stalls, several of which are run by award-winning chefs and Lisbon's top restaurants. This is the first market in the world where everything has been chosen, tasted, and tested by an independent panel of journalists and critics. You'll find everything from a tuna sandwich on bolo de caco (carob bread) from Sea Me to Henrique Sá Pessoa's suckling pig to artisanal cheeses and charcuterie from Manteigaria Silva here. Bom apetite!
