Just when you thought another celebrity chef couldn’t possibly exist, another marquee name opens a restaurant on the Strip. But the culinary boom extends all over the city—Las Vegas is a gourmand’s playground.
Like everything else in Las Vegas, restaurants here embrace extremes: you'll find everything from retro coffee shops to celebrity-chef eateries to only-in-Vegas buffets. It can be hard to pick among such incredible choices, but at least you can’t go wrong at any of the best restaurants in Las Vegas. Carbone, the recent addition from the same chefs behind New York City’s successful Major Food Group, was a hotly anticipated arrival and won’t see slowing crowds anytime soon.
Among the classic places to eat in Las Vegas is L'Atelier du Joel Robuchon inside the MGM Grand, which sits next to Robuchon's original namesake restaurant, which is known for its eye-opening small plates like foie gras-stuffed quail or langoustine fritters. At Bazaar Meat, the ever-popular Jose Andres deconstructs the steakhouse with flaming grills placed front and center in the room, and shareable plates of bison carpaccio tacos and beef tartare.
