Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is located 17 miles (approximately 25 minutes by car) from the Las Vegas Strip, and draws more than one million visitors per year. The first National Conservation Area in the state, it’s marked by a series of sandstone peaks. At 195,819 acres, the park is brimming with activities for outdoor enthusiasts, including 30 miles of hiking trails, mountain biking, rock climbing and horseback riding. Visitors can also soak up the park’s natural beauty on a 13-mile scenic drive. The area is also home to a variety of birds, mammals and reptiles.
