Three Fishes

Mitton Rd.
Mitton, England, BB7 9PQ, United Kingdom
TEL: 44-1254-826-888

With its tan exterior standing out against the oft-grey British sky, the Three Fishes pub holds to a self-proclaimed motto of “real pub, real food, real beer,” centering on hearty fare that's strength is in its simplicity. The pub re-opened in 2004 after years of disrepair, and the history of this Rutland location dates back more than four centuries. Chef Nigel Haworth leads the effort to produce entrées like the Lancashire hotpot, with lamb, potatoes, and cabbage and three-week-aged steaks like the eight ounce Angus beef sirloin. The collection of spirits includes Scottish whiskies like Edradour and Royal Lochnagar.

Insider Tip:

Take a cheese tour of the region by sampling the “Length of Lancashire” cheese board, which highlights blue, smoky, and tasty varieties served with bread, butter, and chutney.
