The all-inclusive Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus resort is situated in Bavahibe, a former fishing village close to La Romana in the southeast Dominican Republic. Recalling the regal estates of southern Spain, the resort grounds are characterized by Moorish architecture, ceramic tiles, fountains, and landscaped courtyard gardens. Among the onsite family-friendly amenities and services, the resort's Miniclub supervises children ages 4-8, and Maxiclub entertains 9- 13 year olds. Iberostar also keep adults busy with active pursuits like archery, tennis, sea kayaking, windsurfing, and even diving excursions. Dining at the resort includes four à la carte restaurants, among them Goleta Grill & Steak House, a sushi bar called La Geisha, and La Colonial, an elegant dining room serving global fare.
