Kuta
Warisan
Designed to resemble a traditional Javanese house, this renowned home furnishings store is located in Kerobokan, about seven miles north of Kuta. Meaning “heritage” in Indonesian, Warisan showcases the handiwork of hundreds of regional craftsmen. The inventory includes both antique and new furniture, most of which is made from plantation-harvested teak and mahogany. Styles range from rustic to modern, with options including daybeds, rough-hewn dining tables, and armchairs with latticed backs. The gallery also sells accessories such as handcrafted vases and natural bath products, and the on-site boutique carries a selection of artisan jewelry, woven sarongs, and hand-dyed silk scarves.
Insider Tip:
Don’t miss the opportunity to dine at the adjacent Warisan Restaurant, which serves upscale French-Mediterranean fare. If you don’t have a reservation, opt for tapas and mojitos at the bar.
