Kiawah Island has a rich history that dates from the 17th century, when the island was sold to the English by the local Native Americans. Located on the Atlantic Ocean just off South Carolina’s coast, Kiawah Island travel is most famous for its fantastic, world-renowned golf courses. When to Go to Kiawah Island
Due to its weather, the late spring and fall are the best times to travel to Kiawah Island. If crowds aren’t your thing, visit on the outer edges of those months, since the tourist-heavy season is from April to October. Of course, with mild winters, and hot and humid summers, the island can still be relaxing and quite enjoyable outside of those crowded periods.
