Located in Sonoma Valley at the foot of Sugarloaf Ridge, Chateau St. Jean was founded in 1973, but the estate that it sits on is much more than just a vineyard. The main building is a restored chateau dating back to 1920 that now houses the visitors center and tasting room. Here, guests can sample the label's award-winning wines, including Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvingnon, Merlot, and Gewurztraminer. Patio tastings are available, as are wine classes. The charcuterie (delicatessen) sells gourmet food items like cheese, pâté, and fresh fruit, while the formal gardens are filled with roses, hydrangeas, and rare palms, alongside picnic tables.
