Stonewall Kitchen Café

2 Stonewall Ln.
York, ME, 03909 , United States
TEL: (207) 351-2719

What started as a simple jam enterprise for Jonathan King and Jim Stott in 1991 blossomed into a culinary empire that includes a cooking school, and as of 2003, a café. Order at the counter in Stonewall’s southeast Maine company store and grab one of 60 indoor seats, or in warmer months, a wooden table in the garden courtyard. At breakfast, popular options include the Spa Wrap with cage-free egg whites, spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Heartier eaters often turn to French toast stuffed with cream cheese and wild Maine blueberry jam. Lunch utilizes local lobster in signature BLTs, Reubens, and “ultimate” lobster rolls. Land-based creations consist of homemade chicken salad sandwiches and hamburgers.

Insider Tip:

Jane McLaughlin and Gussie von Wellsheim from Carpe Diem Coffee in nearby North Berwick roast beans for the café. They go by “The Coffee Goddesses” and have been known to wear togas.
