Villa Caletas

Villa Caletas

Map
Central Pacific, Jacó, 12358-1000, Costa Rica

Perched on a rainforest-covered hilltop on Costa Rica’s central Pacific coast, just a one-hour drive west of San Jose, the 43-room Villa Caletas combines Victorian and neo-Classic elements for a refined escape with views of the beach. There’s little reason to leave this self-contained resort, complete with crown molding and mosaic-tiled fountains. Travelers spend their days meandering between the two restaurants, beach bar, fitness center, and rainforest trail (the place to spot toucans and coatis), and the hotel’s knowledgeable concierge arranges snorkeling excursions, zip-line tours, whitewater rafting, and surfing lessons at nearby Jacó beach.
