Squeezed between two ramshackle buildings on the western shore of the Golden Horn, Cipalikapi Balikçisi serves traditional Turkish fare with a focus on meze and fish. Favorites include stuffed, dried tomatoes; topik (a pâté of chickpeas, potato, cinnamon, and onion); and sea bass sourced from the daily fish bazaar. The exterior walls continue the maritime atmosphere with buoys, fishing nets, and lobster pots, while inside a more nostalgic theme for old Turkish movies prevails. The top floor has a good view of the Golden Horn and the heavy traffic along it.
