Turkish Airlines VIP Lounge

Map
Ataturk Airport, International Terminal, Departures, to the left and downstairs after Passport Control, Istanbul, , Turkey

Ottoman-style décor, elaborate antique portraiture, deep leather sofas, gilded chairs, crystal chandeliers, palatial marble washrooms, and darkened, private relaxation areas with fully reclining armchairs conspire to make this one of the world’s most opulent airport lounges. It has an ample bar and a buffet serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, pastries, snacks, and excellent coffee. The only children’s playroom in the airport is here as well. The lounge is an excellent argument for flying business class with Turkish Airlines. Unfortunately, no amount of money will open its doors if you don’t. Open 5 a.m.–1 a.m. daily.
