This globally inspired French restaurant opened in 1999 at Moorings Village, a 20-acre, palm-lined property about midway through the Florida Keys. The two-story plantation-style house has a dining room with dark wood floors and teak tables upstairs, a lounge with mahogany bar and leather sofas downstairs, and an outside veranda overlooking Florida Bay. Chef Benjamin Loftus’ menu includes local hogfish Meuniere with fregola sarda and sautéed spaghetti squash, pan-seared sea scallops with maple-braised pork belly tortellini, and dry-aged New York strip steak au poivre. Pierre’s also has nightly specials that vary with the seasons and as inspiration strikes the kitchen.

Insider Tip:

Islamorada is popular for fishing and snorkeling, and Pierre’s resides along a white sand beach, so it’s not far from water sports.
