Although a relatively new event, Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland is quickly becoming a favorite with Londoners. The annual event runs from early December to early January and features a host of festive activities and attractions. Winter-themed fairground rides range from thrilling roller coasters to the more subdued Giant Observation Wheel, which features heated pods and spectacular views. Zippos Circus presents both a regular Christmas show and the acrobatic Cirque Extreme show. The event also features Santa Land, a Christmas market and ice-skating rink. Admission is free.

Insider Tip:

If you’re planning to ice skate, arrive 20 minutes early to get your skates on. You’ll also want to arrive early for the Zippos Circus and Winter Cirque shows.
