The creation of James Beard Award winner and celebrity chef, Alan Wong, this restaurant is a success with both critics and customers. Wong’s restaurant serves flavorful, upscale Hawaiian fare, enhanced by his use of fresh ingredients. Favorites include Da Bag, steamed clams with Kalua pig and shiitake mushrooms in a foil bag and twice cooked short ribs soy braised and grilled kaibi style. Although located on the third floor of a nondescript office building, the restaurant manages to transport diners to a tropical oasis with its views of the Koolau Mountains and koa wood interiors.
