One of the last of the old-school tiki bars, this everyman’s establishment has occupied the waterfront of Keehi Lagoon for more than five decades—in a location even island residents rarely get to. (Look for the black-on-white, spray-painted “50” sign.) The South Seas kitsch incorporates 1950s and 1960s Hawaiiana, like puffer-fish lamps, colorful sea-glass balls, old movie posters, tiki-totem posts, and other relics rescued from since-closed Waikiki bars. Island tunes, played live by a pianist, waft through the open-air establishment. The food is basic but the tropical drinks are generous.
