Hollywood Museum
Hollywood, CA, 90028, United States
Housed in the former studio of famed Hollywood makeup artist Max Factor, this museum spans four floors containing thousands of TV and movie props, posters, and costumes, which make up the bulk of the collection. Items run the gamut of Hollywood history, from Joan Crawford's fur coat and Cary Grant’s Rolls Royce to a prop replica of the dog from the 1990's movie There’s Something about Mary. The expansive lobby level of the museum has been renovated to reflect its opulent past, with light-colored marble, chandeliers, gold and silver leafing, and displays from its Max Factor days. Tours are self-guided.
Insider Tip:
Park and stroll through the nearby Hollywood & Highland Center, a shopping, restaurant, and entertainment hub that offers a reduced parking rate with validation from participating vendors.
