Each of the 244 guest rooms is swathed in tasteful beiges and glowing hardwoods and decorated with historic photographs of Saigon; Park Deluxe rooms have private terraces while others offer views of the busy square. And the two in-house restaurants, Square One and Opera, are standouts, with the latter serving the city’s best breakfast and brunch. If anything is out of place it’s the unusual sight on the hotel’s manicured front lawn: a plaque commemorating an infamous car bombing, carried out in 1964 by Viet Minh agents on this very site (then the Brinks Hotel).
