Every Friday and Saturday night, the second story of Om Restaurant in Harvard Square transforms into RhumBar, a weekend-only event featuring 23 varieties of rum and nonstop dancing. Despite the restaurant’s calming interior, adorned with bamboo floors, waterfalls, and artwork commissioned from more than 50 Asian artisans, the RhumBar DJ’s manage to energize the upstairs lounge with an eclectic mix of music. When they’re not moving to the beat, patrons can sip inventive drinks like the blackberry lime Purple Rain mojito infused with lavender. Om’s signature aromatherapy cocktails, which incorporate essential oils such as jasmine and lemongrass, are also available.

After working up an appetite on the RhumBar dance floor, head downstairs to enjoy traditional Tibetan dumplings called momos.
