The 12-room Landing has a decidedly patrician vibe. The hotel was conceived by Tracy Barry (whose mother was the first-ever Miss Bahamas) and Toby Tyler, a Sydney restaurateur. India Hicks—daughter of the iconic 60’s designer David Hicks, great-great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria, and bridesmaid to Diana, Princess of Wales—spearheaded the interiors. Her childhood holidays on Eleuthera helped her hit just the right tone, with crisp Ralph Lauren linens and classic plantation-style beds designed by her partner, David Flint Wood. There are no televisions or phones to distract you, only the periodic docking of the ferry at the small pier across the street.
