In the middle of Greenwich's busy Royal Hill area, The Union blends traditional pub trappings with a foward-thinking approach to food and brews. Inside, cream yellow walls surround the light-stained bar, and in the back, a small collection of tables sit in a sunlit conservatory. Head chef Valentin Ochoa specializes in modern British dishes, including crumbed cod fillet and homemade chips and Scottish beef pie made with Meantime Stout. The pub’s beer selection focuses on unpasteurized, small-batch products from London's Meantime Brewing Company and small international breweries.
Although the pub has an impressive regular beer menu, be sure to sample one of the seasonal brews, which change every month.
