Since the ranch’s 11 spartan cabins are the only non-campground accommodation below the rim, they’re often booked up to a year in advance. Each is furnished with a set of bunk beds, a sink, toilet, bedding, and towels. At the Phantom Ranch Canteen, food is available for hikers who’ve journeyed to the bottom of the Canyon—as long as they’ve called months ahead to arrange meals.
