Though the main hotel building and restaurant have closed, this oceanside inn still offers a cluster of no-frills cabins for rent. Family owned and operated by Sally Littlefield, the 10 cottages have rustic furnishings and basic comforts (wood-burning fireplaces, kitchens), albeit with few modern amenities, but that's part of the appeal for guests looking for a respite from busy city life. Cottages are either one or two bedrooms, though most also contain pullouts or stow-away sleeper sofas. The nearby towns of Stonington, Blue Hill, and Castine have quaint restaurants, shops, and community-oriented activities.
