Fraser
Wild Horse Inn
Fraser, CO, 80442, United States
Located among forests and meadows on a ridge above Fraser Valley, this mountain lodge is constructed from 400-year-old logs, with light-toned wood lining the ceilings and floors. The great room exemplifies the inn’s polished rustic feel, with a vaulted ceiling and leather furniture assembled around a huge stone fireplace. The accommodations—which include seven rooms and three secluded cabins—are decorated with homemade details like woven rugs, four-poster beds, and rocking chairs. Innkeeper and former massage therapist John Cribari provides on-site spa services, while co-owner Chris French prepares a daily breakfast that might include citrus-ginger French toast with peppered bacon.
Room to Book:
If you prefer lots of natural light, request a room on the back side of the inn, which receives the most direct sunlight.
Insider Tip:
For dinner nearby, walk to the Ranch House Restaurant at Devil’s Thumb Ranch. The restaurant serves regionally inspired cuisine, such as elk tenderloin with Fraser Valley currants.
