Features
Quirky/offbeat, Off the beaten path

One of the most original ways to see the undulating, patchwork quilt that is the Chianti countryside is from a hot air balloon. To catch the best weather conditions, flights leave soon after dawn and typically last an hour; the flight path is at the discretion of the winds, but you will glide over olive groves and vineyards, fairy tale castles and mellow villas, winding cypress paths and hilltop villages. To compensate for the early start, a picnic breakfast is served on landing with prosecco and local cold cuts, cheeses, and cakes.
