Cooking Classes at Casa Ombuto
Named one of the top European culinary vacations by the United Kingdom’s Observer newspaper, Casa Ombuto's cooking courses are held in two Tuscan properties near the village of Poppi: Casa Ombuto and Torre del Tartufo. During the four instructional days of the week-long courses, chefs Paola Bacetti and Laura Giusti introduce students to Italian and Mediterranean cooking techniques, including rolling gnocchi, baking pizza in a brick oven, and making desserts such as panna cotta (cooked cream). Lessons are held in an underground vaulted cantina, and meals are enjoyed outside on the villas’ terraces. Excursions to local farms are also included.
