Caffè Cibrèo
Just a 10-minute walk from the Duomo, Caffé Cibrèo is situated outside the small, semi—open air market of Sant' Ambrogio. A casual offshoot of the more formal Ristorante Cibrèo, this wood-paneled café has red velvet chairs and white tablecloths balanced by simpler wooden furniture and dishes served unceremoniously in tin foil. During warmer months, seating is also available outside on a shaded patio. The menu includes signature dishes from Ristorante Cibrèo, such as the butter-poached lamb brain, as well as Tuscan specialties like veal tripe and sausage with white beans.
Insider Tip:
The Sant' Ambrogio Market closes at 2 p.m., so make sure to plan your lunch accordingly if you want to browse the stalls for fresh produce, cheeses, and antiques.
