This 11-room boutique gem is hidden away in a handsome, 16th-century palazzo surrounded by antique stores and art galleries in Florence's boho-chic Oltrarno neighborhood. The dynamic owners have filled the place with an intriguing mix of vintage, re-claimed, original one-off design pieces and quirky knickknacks, creating a highly individual, elegant home-away-from-home. Many of the rooms are huge with frescoed ceilings and claw-foot tubs. Others are smaller, but all have gorgeous tiled bathrooms done up in strong Farrow and Ball colors. Breakfast is delicious (fresh fruit salad, prosciutto, warm pastries) and is eaten at a communal table, using tableware available for purchase at the owner's interior design shop.
