Things to do in Finger Lakes Region

People looking for fun things to do in the Finger Lakes should take advantages of the outdoorsy activities. Tour the Rose Hill Mansion’s house and grounds for a look at what 19th-century life was like in New York State, and amazing views of Seneca Lake. Watkins Glen State Park is the most famous in the Finger Lakes, with its gorge path with 19 different waterfalls. Take a tour through the gorge, hike along the rim, or trying camping or a picnic during summer months. The Corning Museum of Glass has over 45,000 glass objects, some as old at 3,500 years. Learn about the beginning of glass making and view amazing glassworks being created in person.

Skaneateles Lake is popular for recreational sailing, and regularly has regattas taking place. Robert Treman State Park has Enfield Glen, another enormous gorge, and the 115-foot Lucifer Falls. The area is also great for hiking and swimming in the summer. Cayuga Lake is the second biggest of the Finger Lakes, but its surrounding area boasts a dozen wineries, distilleries, and even a cidery. The lake also has many parks and lakefront views, and even champagne cruises on the water.
