Perbacco
San Francisco, CA, 94111, United States
Located near the Embarcadero beside its more casual sister restaurant Barbecco, this high-end eatery offers fresh, authentic fare inspired by the Piemonte and Liguria regions of Italy. Behind a nearly all-glass façade, Perbacco’s bi-level interior features exposed brick dating from 1913, plush red banquettes and chairs, and a bar top hewn from white Carrara marble. Seating is also available on the mezzanine which overlooks the open kitchen. Chef-owner Staffan Terje and co-owner Umberto Gibin present an extensive menu of traditional dishes, including such signatures as the house-cured salumi and the homemade pappardelle with slow-cooked short rib ragú.
Insider Tip:
The popular salumi misti (mixed salumi) plate is much larger than the regular appetizers and is best for a group of three to six diners.
