Embarcadero
Epic Roasthouse
San Francisco, CA, 94105, United States
With 29 years of experience under his belt, chef Jan Birnbaum opened Epic Roasthouse in 2008 along with co-owner and acclaimed restaurant architect Pat Kuleto. Located on the Embarcadero near Folsom, this nontraditional, Kuleto-designed steakhouse features a seven-foot flywheel and pulley, a wood-burning oven, and steel-framed windows overlooking the bay. Seating is also available beside the fireplace on the outdoor patio. All steaks are aged and served bone-in, with options including the roasted rib eye with horseradish and black pepper crème fraiche and the New York strip with coriander, pepper, and coffee rub.
Insider Tip:
For the best views, dine in the upstairs Quiver Bar where the patio offers a panoramic vista of the Bay View Bridge.
