Edgartown, MA, 02539, United States
TEL: (800) 225-6005
An 1891 Cape Cod mansion overlooking the Edgartown Lighthouse and Chappaquiddick Island, the main house of the hotel is flanked by 19th-century houses that belonged to whaling captains. These Captains’ Cottages were recently renovated by HGTV's Dream Home designer Linda Woodrum and feature suites with four-poster beds and soft blue or red gingham color schemes. Guests can explore nearby Edgartown on one of the hotel bikes, go sailing, or charter the 39’ 1966 Stardust for a yachting picnic. The hotel also organizes beach-combing and kayaking trips for kids.
Room to Book:
Deluxe Water View rooms in the main house are windowed corner turrets with small private porches.
Insider Tip:
At the hotel restaurant Water St., New England clam chowder is garnished with pork cracklings and chives, and the soft shell crabs are cornflake and fennel-crusted.
