East Village Bed & Coffee
A cross between a bed and breakfast (except there’s no breakfast) and a hostel, East Village Bed & Coffee is the creation of Anne Edris. Since Edris has lived in the neighborhood for nearly 24 years, she provides a wealth of information for out-of-towners on the best local dives and sights. In addition to acting as concierge, she also decorated all of her 10 of rooms with specific themes, such as the flight room, which has hanging toy planes and map-covered walls. Each floor of this loft-style building has a bathroom and kitchen for sharing.
Room to Book:
Avoid rooms on the bottom floor if you are a light sleeper as sound travels well through these spaces.
Even if the East Village Bed & Coffee is booked up for months, you can request that you be placed on a waiting list for the dates of your choice.
