At home in Dupont Circle's bohemian Hotel Rouge, Bar Rouge serves small-plate bistro fare and wine on tap in an atmosphere of conscious sensuality, attracting an upscale locals crowd from happy hour through late nights. Ruby hues predominate throughout the intimate space favoring subdued lighting, animal prints, and velvet-covered furnishings. Equally provocative are the cocktail names ("The Adulteress," for example), which are fun to read through whether you're imbibing or not.
