Located in the Karama district, Simran’s Aappa Kadai is a burgeoning chain with three locations throughout the city. Founded in 2002, the restaurant serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian cuisine from its open kitchen. Specialty dishes include several variations on appam (a traditional, pancake-like dish), such as chicken kheema aappam, bull’s eye egg aappam, and aappam with chicken stew. In addition to Indian cuisine, the restaurant also serves Chinese dishes, and the dining room has a decidedly casual atmosphere, making it ideal for a relaxed lunch or dinner.
