Dubai International Airport, Throughout the airport, Dubai, , United Arab Emirates

With the opening of Terminal 3 in October 2008, the airport’s retail operations—all controlled by Dubai Duty Free—doubled to 160,000 square feet of shops. You can easily while away the hours of your stopover here. The usual suspects are well represented (Estée Lauder, Swarovski, Callaway) as are luxury brands like Chanel, Hermès, and Montblanc. This is one of the few duty-free retail operations where you could get a good deal on a Rolex watch. (If you’re seriously considering one, do some quick comparison shopping online using the terminals’ free Wi-Fi.) Generally speaking, though, you won’t find bargains.
