Sitting right atop Canada Place, the Pan Pacific’s 504 rooms are just an elevator ride away from docked cruise ships and have the best waterfront views of any Downtown hotel. Room décor is calm and straightforward—basically a study in blond wood and beige—but open the drapes and never mind: eye-popping views of the Shore Mountains, Coal Harbor, and Vancouver’s skyline are visible from almost every room. An 8th-floor outdoor pool makes this hotel popular with families during summer season; during winter the crowd tends toward conventioneers.
Room to Book:
Rooms ending in 10 and 15 cost $40 extra as they’re on the corners, but they feel like mini-suites. Avoid room 801, as guests going to/from the pool walk right by the window.

At the on-site Spa Utopia, a VIP couples’ area can be booked for the entire day, including a whirlpool and plenty of space for relaxing together.
