A mainstay of this small community since 1956, it's hard to miss this family-owned lobster shack and seafood distributor, with its large rooftop "Lobsters" sign and row of wood-fired cookers out front. Choose a lobster from the tank, and then watch while it's boiled in fresh seawater over a wood fire—the signature cooking technique here. Seating, both indoors and out, is limited and informal, but lobsters can also be purchased and packed for travel. Other specialties include steamed clams, lobster or crab sandwiches, coleslaw, and blueberry pie.
Insider Tip:
Although the restaurant is only open from Memorial Day through Columbus Day, you can still pick up fresh lobsters at the store (located behind the restaurant) year-round.
