Dozens of broken surfboards are screwed to the ceiling (proof of Dominical’s powerful waves), and surf-competition photos line the walls at this classic surfer bar. Most nights the action revolves around pool, foosball, and swapping surfing stories. On Friday nights, though, the space morphs into a dance party, with freely flowing beer and guaro (local alcohol distilled from sugarcane), and boogying to DJ-spun reggae, house, and salsa.
Insider Tip:
If you party late/early enough, you can segue into the famously hearty “starving surfer’s breakfast,” with eggs, gallo pinto (rice and beans), or pancakes.
