Florida’s largest performing arts venue presents hot-ticket events including everything from opera and ballet to live comedy and theatre, even concerts. Located in the downtown Omni neighborhood, the three-venue complex straddles Biscayne Boulevard and was erected at the site of a circa-1929 department store. Today, the only original structure in architect Cesar Pelli’s 2006 demolition-and-rebuild project is the seven-story art deco Carnival Tower. Behind-the-scenes tours (offered bi-weekly) include information about the center's architecture and history and a glimpse into spaces not open to the public like dressing rooms.
Insider Tip:
The Bombay Sapphire Lounge is located in the Center’s art-deco-style Carnival Tower and offers a limited range of signature cocktails and small-plates bar food.
