Red Rocks Amphitheatre
Morrison, CO, 80465, United States
Set against a backdrop of sandstone bluffs, Red Rocks is one of the world’s most famous outdoor music venues, located about 30 minutes west of Denver. Framed by 300-foot monoliths, the natural stone amphitheater draws top musical artists from across the globe, with past performers including the Beatles, U2, Jimi Hendrix, R.E.M., and several renowned symphony orchestras. In addition to concerts, the amphitheater also hosts weekly film screenings during the summer. The surrounding park includes scenic hiking and biking trails, as well as a visitors’ center with geology exhibits, a Performers Hall of Fame, and the Ship Rock Grille restaurant.
Insider Tip:
Parking is a hassle, so plan to arrive 90 minutes early for a concert. Also, make sure to wear comfortable shoes—the trek to the amphitheater is long and steep.
