The Joule
Housed in a former bank building dating to 1927, the 128-room Joule opened in 2007 after extensive renovations at the hands of architect Adam D. Tihany. While the revitalized Neo-Gothic building maintains many of its historic features, new additions like the cantilevered rooftop pool and original photos by contemporary artist Bram Tihany create a more modern setting. Rooms and suites are equipped with original furniture that's sleek with an edge of rusticity, while the hotel offers services like a 24-hour fitness center, concierge, and wine shop.
Room to Book:
Since the Joule is located on a main drag in Dallas, consider booking a room on one of the higher floors to be above street-level noise and closer to the rooftop pool and bar.
Insider Tip:
Two Escalades are available on a first-come-first-serve basis to chauffeur guests to destinations within a 5-mile radius.
