Texas State Fair

3921 Martin Luther King Blvd.
Dallas, TX, 75210, United States
TEL: (214) 565-9931

Every year, just two miles East of downtown Dallas, Fair Park hosts one of the largest state fairs in the United States, a Texas-sized affair that welcomes well over two million visitors. Attendees find fried "fair food" favorites like corn dogs, funnel cakes and turkey legs much to their liking as they tour the large exhibition halls, which are filled with award-winning art, produce and crafts. This annual bonaza is also known for icons like the 52-foot tall cowboy and the 212-foot Ferris wheel. The State Fair of Texas usually starts the last Friday of September and last until late October, coinciding with college football's legendary Red River Rivalry game, which pits the Oklahoma Sooner against the Texas Longhorns at Fair Park's Cotton Bowl Stadium.

Insider Tip:

Save a few dollars by purchasing your state fair tickets in advance through their online store. Groups of 20 or more can also save big.
