Nasher Sculpture Center
Dallas, TX, 75201, United States
Situated in the heart of the Arts District, the Nasher Sculpture Center showcases what was once the private collection of Raymond and Patsy Nasher. The couple began collecting modern and contemporary pieces as early as 1950, and although several prestigious museums approached them with display opportunities, they chose to construct a permanent place for the sculptures in their beloved Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Nasher wanted the museum to feel natural and open, so parts of the collection are exhibited inside under glass roofs while other pieces are placed throughout the exquisite gardens.
Insider Tip:
Dallas heat can make viewing the outside sculptures excruciating, especially during the late summer, so check the weather before planning a day here.
