Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center
Dallas, TX, 75201, United States
Named in honor of Dallas arts supporter Morton H. Meyerson, who donated $10 million toward its erection, the stunning Symphony Center is located in the Arts District of Downtown Dallas. This concert hall’s circular design, accented with sharp, square angles, was completed by architect I. M. Pei and acoustician Russell Johnson in 1989. The Symphony Center regularly hosts performances by the Turtle Creek Chorale, the Dallas Wind Symphony, and the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra, and it is also the primary venue for the world-renowned Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
Insider Tip:
The center provides free organ recitals that showcase the 4,535-pipe Lay Family Concert Organ. Just check their calendar for upcoming recitals.
